Shortness of Breath

What is dyspnea? Dyspnea is the medical term for shortness of breath. In order to determine the cause of a patient’s dyspnea, your physician will ask about triggers for your shortness of breath.  Your physician will want to know if your shortness of breath is triggered by such things as activity or lying flat.  Your physician will also want to know if you have any other symptoms with your shortness of breath such as chest pain or palpitationsWhat causes shortness of breath?
